Getting There
"Life is either a daring adventure, or nothing at all." ~ Helen Keller
Arriving to our retreat is an adventure in itself. With that in mind, I will make this journey with you! By your own means, you must arrive in Salvador, Bahia (SSA international airport) where we will meet and I will organize transportation to the interstate bus terminal. There we will embark on a bus trip to the Chapada Diamantina region of Bahia, arriving in Palmeiras, where we will make another transfer to a smaller vehicle and be taken to Castelar da Alvorada, our destination. The last leg of the voyage is about 1 hour on a bumpy dirt road, so you must be prepared for a (slightly) wild ride. The bus journey from Salvador to Palmeiras will be in a very comfortable air-conditioned bus. (Most likely we will make this journey at night, so a pillow and blanket is recommended.) Details of where we are to meet will be shared upon your registration, but the date will be March 3rd in the afternoon, so you must arrive in Salvador prior to that time.
Though the journey is long, it is well worth it! Our hidden refuge is a special place, still relatively unknown the world, and so we get to catch a glimpse of its wildness while it is still so.
