Sacred dance, song, and story bring people together all over the world at times of seasonal ceremony and celebration, as part of everyday life and life passages, and in daily renewal and meditation. The Dances of Universal Peace are part of this timeless tradition of Sacred Dance.
The Dances use simple songs and movements to touch the spiritual essence within. These movements and songs make up over 500 Dances and include themes of peace (both inner and outer), healing (the Earth, individuals, and the global family), and the celebration of life's great mysteries. Dancers express harmony and community while celebrating the underlying unity of all the spiritual traditions of the Earth.
Newcomers are happily welcomed. No experience or special abilities are needed.

I have been practicing the Dances of Universal Peace since 1995, when I discovered them in a remote valley in Brazil, my home at the time. I immediately became drawn to their powerful and transformative nature, learning them in earnest and sharing them whenever the opportunity arose.
I became a certified leader in 2001 and now share leadership of the Madison Dance circle in harmony with several other inspired and attuned leaders. Though I recognize and honor the Truth in all religions, I feel a particularly deep attunement to indigenous and nature-based traditions, Tibetan Buddhism, Sufism, Christianity, and the Great Mother traditions. I am a drum keeper and musician and support the Dances with rhythm, which brings me great joy.
